There are some things Satan knows about man

There Are Some Things Satan Knows about Us

First- Satan knows man will curse God when man losses his possession’s

What will Satan do to get our worship? And to what extent will he go to get our worship of him? The first mention in the Bible where Satan seeks to get man to come under his dominion and succeeds is when he came to Eve and told her that she could be like god!

Satan was standing in front of Eve and eating of the forbidden fruit, which Adam and Eve were not to eat from.

Genesis 3:1-6 – Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Why did I say that Satan was eating the fruit in front of her? Look at verse 6: “She saw that it was good for food.” She had to have seen someone eating from the tree in order to believe it was good for food. Even more compelling was that the Serpent was not dead or dying from eating or touching the fruit. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden fruit for believing the lie, they came under the dominion of Satan, and he became the ruler of this world. Every man, woman and child since has been born into his kingdom.

So the first thing we find that Satan knew about man is that Adam and Eve weren’t satisfied with being what they were made to be. They wanted to be like God.

Matthew 4:8-9 – Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Luke 4:5-7 – And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Second, Satan knows that the world became his when Adam and Eve gave up their position in this world—their dominion over it.

Genesis 1:28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So the world became Satan’s, and if he would offer it to Jesus, don’t think for one second that he wouldn’t offer whatever it is we want to us—from power, money, and even sobriety. Satan will come when we need God the most, only to offer life in this world, and he comes as an angel of light:

2 Corinthians 11:13 – For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

There are two men who had a white-light experience that changed the way men come to God and have sent them instead on a journey to hell. The first was the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. Bill Wilson found himself at the end of his rope, and he called out in his hospital room, “If there is a god, show yourself!” His room filled with a white light, and he was filled with such euphoria that it just had to be God. Today, however, he is in hell. Bill came to believe one would be willing to do anything for sobriety, even to sell one’s soul to Satan. He wouldn’t tell you that, only that you can be sober and free from having to drink yourself to death.

The other person who had such an experience was Kenneth Hagen Sr., and you can see him on TV acting like a snake and supposedly healing some in his congregation while causing them to laugh uncontrollably in their seats and on the ground.

The next thing Satan knows about us is found in Job.

Job 1:6-12 – Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

How many stories have you heard of people who lose their worldly possessions and curse God? To curse God or even put the blame on Him is to serve Satan. People will do anything to gain worldly possessions and will even worship Satan to get things in this world. Remember, Jesus was offered the world in Luke chapter 4. So Satan knows things are valuable to people and that they will do anything to get them. We never think of our children as possessions and family members are very dear to us, but there are countless stories of someone losing a spouse, a daughter, a son, a father, a mother, a brother, a sister and their world is turned upside down, and they end up cursing God and demanding “Why”. We will find in the next few verses what Satan can do in the lives of men and women to get them to accuse God for their losses. Let’s never forget that Job was a believer in God and that those who go to hell are not a believer in Christ. Job was an example of someone who offered blood sacrifices for their sins before Jesus died on the Cross. He did not once blame God for what had happened to him.

Job 1:13-22 – And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: 15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Satan has the ability to use groups of people, such as the Sabeans, to do his bidding, and in verse 16, we find that he has supernatural power to call down fire from heaven. We see again that he uses people to bring destruction in our lives in verse 17. In verse 19, he has power over the elements like the wind and weather—he used this power to bring down a house, killing all of Job’s children. In all this, in verse 22, Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly!
